This was a personal project that started as a way to automatically water my family’s Christmas tree. I used an Arduino to both sense the water level and then activate a small pump in a water reservoir (which was much easier to access than under the tree and could be refilled every few days). I was able to hide all of the electronics in a box that was disguised as a Christmas present which looked natural placed right under the tree.
