Steven Reimer graduated from Santa Clara University magna cum laude with a bachelors in mechanical engineering (2023) and a masters in mechanical engineering (2024) with an emphasis in mechatronics and robotics.

Steven worked in the Santa Clara University Robotics Systems Laboratory for over five years, where he worked on multiple marine robotic projects and served as a satellite ground station operator for NASA’s ACS3 mission. He also worked at Apple as a Prototype Design Intern. Steven later worked as a teaching assistant in the SCU machine shop and Maker Lab. As a graduate research assistant, he worked on a low-cost, powered prosthetic hand that was used to help amputees through a nonprofit based in Jaipur, India.

Currently, Steven works as a systems manufacturing engineer at Intuitive Surgical.
